Our design team's mood board for Folk Song was filled with, as usual, vintage photographs of muses from the 70s. This time, maybe a reflection of the time it was created, a lot of it was based on open spaces, adventures on the road and nature. A feeling of freedom but in quaint places on the road, the kind of getaway that ends up as dog eared, worn photographs in a family photo album.

We knew just the place to bring this vision to life  - the place where Spelly's husband Dougall spent a lot of his childhood visiting, and now in turn Spelly and Dougall take their children - Tenterfield or Moombillen/Moombahlene and it's beautiful natural surrounds that you may have seen on Spelly's family adventures on her Instagram.

The collection: a mix of customer favourites in hand drawn floral and paisleys, statement borders and new feminine shapes. The cool-girl Sloan crafted from our favourite crisp organic cotton feels straight out of a 70's sewing book - bold flowers on palettes of ochre, peaches and cream. The textured knits are some of our favourite yet with pointelle detailing and elevated fits, and our two incredibly detailed Spell luxe lace pieces are collectors items for the wardrobe.
With thanks to our team for bringing this collection to life.
